Well done to all winners and all nominees!!

We were delighted to be joined by our guest of honour Mikey Neville, a local triathlete and fundraiser.

Mikey shared his personal experiences of the Power of Sport. In September 2017 Mikey’s daughter Snowy was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that affects 4 in 1 million children.

Snowy has since started chemotherapy and travelled to America to have Proton Beam therapy. In dealing with his daughter’s struggle with cancer Mikey turned to sport, the day after hearing the news Mikey completed an Olympic Triathlon (1.5km swim, 40km cycle followed by a 10km run). Mikey has since gone on to complete a staggering and breath-taking 200 triathlons in 200 days.

Our students were truly humbled and inspired by Mikey and as a school we are delighted to make a donation towards Mikey’s three charities; Sarcoma UK, CLIC Sargent and The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

We look forward to and are excited to hear what successes the forthcoming year will bring for our students!!
